Jason Becker was one of my guitar heroes when I was a kid in high school. I had tickets to the David Lee Roth tour that Jason played lead on but sadly the show never happened. Jason was diagnosed with ALS shortly after getting the gig. He was told he would live another 3-5 years. That was over 20 years ago.  Jason is still alive and making music today.

Too often we think about technology in terms of our Facebook and Twitter status updates, our Foursquare check in or being able to download the latest music or movie… for free. We forget that technology enables the impossible to become possible as in Jason’s case it has helped continue to create music using his eyes.
