How much does Van Halen play into the history of cinema? Quite a lot judging from the nearly 18 minute clip that was compiled using all references to Van Halen made in movies. Enjoy.
The Bicycled project is creating what Lola Madrid calls “the perfect bike”: a bicycle made with a frame harvested from recycled car metal, a reflective light made out of a turn signal, a seat and handlebar covered with car upholstery, and a seatpost clamp fashioned from a door handle. Since every bike is made from a different car, each one looks unique.

As an artist, Caitlin Freeman found her calling in cake.
She bakes at the cafe in the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, where the most popular item is a dessert inspired by the art of Piet Mondrian. It features geometric blocks of white velvet cake, colored red, blue and yellow, stacked together and “glued” with chocolate. It takes two days to prepare, according to her new cookbook, Modern Art Desserts.
